Sarah CrawfordAbout Sarah Crawford
Sarah was raised by Kansas City Theatre. She spent her earliest years as a frequent audience member at The Coterie and Theatre For Young America. At age 9 she began her performing career in Annie at Starlight and on closing night was asked by the New York director to join his professional acting company.

For the next 6 years while most kids were at desks in school Sarah was touring in over 400 performances of a nationally acclaimed musical, performing in KCPT shows dedicated to composers, and taking Musical Theatre History classes. Summers between her high school years at Shawnee Mission West were filled performing with Theatre In The Park, The Barn Players and Worlds Of Fun.

The day after she graduated with a BFA in Theatre from Drake University she was cast in her 1st show at The American Heartland Theatre. Two days after, her first at The New Theatre and Quality Hill Playhouse.

Nearly 40 shows and a handful of directing credits later, Sarah found herself at MTH knocking on George Harter's door. They co-wrote their first production, Bernstein's Broadway, together. It was a hit with MTH audiences and critics alike.

Now, after four years of Directing and Music Directing the live productions, Sarah is proud to enter 2012 as the Artistic Director of a company dedicated to the craft she has loved and studied her whole life, in the city she has always called home.
