"Beautifully choreographed and flawlessly arranged, the trip was an experience I shall never forget. All thanks to your expertise. I can't say enough for the choice of theater shows, restaurants and personal tours. The only thing you couldn't control were the brief showers, but even they did nothing to dampen our spirits. The people in the party were a joy to be with and the size of the group made it all the more personal."

"I know that I will be reliving this trip for a long time."

Thanks to our huge success last year, actress Dodie Brown and the New Theatre Guild has planned another fabulous trip to New York City and the bright lights of Broadway. Spend five days / four nights at the historic Algonquin Hotel, have top-priced seats to three Broadway shows, fine dining, Broadway guests and fascinating side tours. Plus, there’s plenty of time to enjoy New York in your own way. The trip will be guided by George Harter and Chad Gerlt of MUSICAL THEATER HERITAGE.

Wednesday, Oct. 15th - This morning our non-stop flight aboard Midwest Airlines departs for New York, LaGuardia at 7:10 AM (included). In New York, we have private transportation to the charming Algonquin Hotel on West 44th Street in mid-town Manhattan. Here, we will be steeped in the history of the American theater, New York City and the writers of the Algonquin Round Table. The hotel is within walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, The Empire State Building and Fifth Avenue shopping.

After check-in, the afternoon is free for you to explore Times Square, have lunch at the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station, or just relax in the inviting Algonquin
lobby, and feel the great vibrations of New York’s past.

Tonight we will gather for a cocktail reception and dinner at the very exclusive HARVARD CLUB of NEW YORK. Here, in one of the most impressive spaces in New York City, you will have a chance to meet your hostess, actress Dodie Brown and the members on our trip.

After dinner we have front mezzanine seats for the hottest ticket on Broadway: the London transfer of BILLY ELLIOT.

Thursday, Oct. 16th - This morning we will meet George Harter in the hotel lobby for a half-day New York sights & Broadway history tour by private coach, to include a detailed look at New York’s rich and colorful past, and an insightful look at the history of Broadway. The tour concludes at a working New York rehearsal hall where we will meet cast members from a Broadway show, for stories, a few songs, and time for questions.

Tonight’s theater outing is Boeing Boeing.

Friday, Oct. 17th - Today is set aside for you to enjoy New York City in your own way. This morning New York guide, Chad Gerlt will offer an optional side trip to take a closer look at Central Park, including the Carousel, The Great Mall, and lunch at the Central Park Boat House (lunch and subway fare at your own expense).

This evening we have tickets to see the new Broadway production of the great American musical GYPSY, starring Tony Award winner Patti LuPone. GYPSY will reunite LuPone with co-stars Boyd Gaines and Laura Benanti. Directed by multiple Tony Award winner and author of the musical Arthur Laurents.

Saturday, Oct. 18th - The day is free for your own agenda in New York City. If you’d like tickets to a Broadway matinee such as Jersey Boys or Young Frankenstein call Chad at Musical Theater Heritage to place your order, (not included in trip cost).

Tonight we will celebrate our time together with cocktails and dinner with wine pairings aboard the WORLD YACHT. Experience breathtaking views of the
Manhattan skyline as we cruise about New York Harbor. We’ll travel under the
Brooklyn Bridge, and get a spectacular view of the Stature of Liberty at night.

Sunday, Oct. 19th - Spend a quiet & leisurely Sunday morning in New York. At noon we travel to Zabar’s, the famous NY deli landmark at 80th & Broadway. Blend with native New Yorkers and experience the banter of the sales help as you sample cheeses from around the world. Take a number for a pound of pastrami and a bag of bagels. We will also stop in Harlem to experience its incredible revitalization. We will arrive at LaGuardia in plenty of time for our 5:05 PM Midwest Airlines non-stop flight home to Kansas City.
